Did you know, 49% of students...
Shocking statistic alert: 49% of university students prioritise paid work over lectures!

The BBC recently reported findings to suggest that the cost-of-living crisis is having a negative effect on university students’ experience due to the need to work more and study less.

I’m sure you’ve all felt the pinch since prices of fuel, food and pretty much everything has increased substantially due to current climate. But have you been forced to choose paid work over attending uni lectures, seminars or workshops? If the answer is yes, we want to explain how this can be avoided and offer some support to assist you through this potentially difficult time.

Whilst it may be tempting to put your studies on the back burner to make some much needed money, remember the reason why you are at university and what your longer terms goals are. You pay a lot of money to be here, so you really need to make the most of your time and use the resources on offer wisely.

ARU Temps offers flexible work to fit around your studies so you don’t need to commit to a rigid work schedule but can still earn money to live. Temp work is perfect for this time in your life because you can make the most of opportunities to work for example, after assignments are handed in, during the holidays and when you don’t have lectures, whilst allowing you adequate time to study.
