Job Title: Supply Chain Management Intern
Job Purpose: Supply chain automation project - the client is currently working with a global supply chain of 25 companies and has identified a global supply chain of 250 companies. They therefore require someone to implement a supply chain methodology and work with the company to select the right business partners out of the 250 on the list.
Report to: CEO plus regular meetings with Sales, Operations and Digital team to assist you in the day to day role
Location: Remote working with the possibility of 1 day in the office a week for meetings in Potters Bar
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 8 weeks
Rate of pay: £9.30ph
Roles and responsibilities:
  • Implement a supply chain methodology and framework for assessment and selection of new and existing suppliers
  • Recommend appropriate supply chain management software
  • Work through database of 250 global suppliers to shortlist and appoint appropriate suppliers in line with the company's growth strategy
  • Suggest solutions for process improvements including the use of technology where applicable
  • Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner
  • Determine key supply chain KPIs
  • Build and maintain good relationships with vendors
  • ARU Graduate - preferably Business degree ideally in supply chain management or similar field
  • Passionate, hard-working and focussed on delivery
  • Hands on individual who can work autonomously
  • Global in outlook and appreciation of global cultures and business practices
  • Analytically minded, critical thinker and problem solving skills
  • Team player
  • Excellent time management skills and great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experienced in using MS Office / Zoom / CRM systems
  • Commercially minded
  • Project Management experience would be beneficial
