Job Description

Job Title: Events & Business Support

Job Purpose: To provide effective and efficient administrative support to the Policing Institute for the Eastern Region (PIER)

Start Date: 06 September 2022

Location: Mostly remote working with occasional visits to Chelmsford campus

Hours: 22.5hrs per week

Rate of pay: £14.05ph

Duties:

  • Support the Business Manager in co-ordinating and organising promotional PIER events to provide administrative support and resolve complex external client/delegate enquires as and when they arise.
  • Acting as a first point of call for external queries, resolving issues/queries independently in a courteous, timely and effective manner.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and secure record keeping for the efficient running of PIER activities and projects. Develop systems where necessary.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate, arrange and service meetings, including occasional external steering groups, taking minutes where requested
  • Undertake and manage ad-hoc projects and corporate requests as advised by the Business Manager, working independently, to ensure aims are achieved within set deadlines.
  • Adhere to corporate processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of these, highlighting issues to management, where improvements can be made.
  • Support office administration and operate within administrative systems and procedures related to the work of the PIER.
