Job Title: Recruitment Adviser
Job Purpose: To provide a professional recruitment service, matching students, graduates and bank staff to suitable assignments internally and externally.

Location: Cambridge (would consider Peterborough or Chelmsford) - This is a hybrid role with office and remote working.
Start date: ASAP
Proposed end date: March 2025
Hours: 22.5hrs per week (Ideally Monday, Wednesday and Thursday - 8.30am to 5pm)
Rate of pay: £15.35ph
Duties:

Responsible for providing a recruitment service to our candidates on a daily basis: to interview, advise, skills match and place candidates appropriately.

Applying professional knowledge and experience in advising candidates on CV and skills checks, providing remedial assistance where appropriate and signposting to Employability & Careers Adviser where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with Agency Worker Regulations, UK Visas and Immigration, Right to Work, monitoring of international students working hours and any other relevant employment legislation.
- Develop relationships with internal and external clients to understand their staffing requirements and to identify suitable candidates to meet those needs and achieve our recruitment goals.
- Independently deal with a range of more complex enquiries from applicants, employers and staff in person, by phone or email, in a courteous, efficient and professional manner.
- Advertise vacancies by drafting and placing adverts on online jobs boards, utilise social media, email marketing and other forms of advertising.
- Support the Business Development Manager to build business information that can be converted into external opportunities to achieve revenue in line with service targets.
- Work closely with other Recruitment Advisers and colleagues in the team to ensure best practice and all associated administration with regards to recruitment is carried out in accordance with employment legislation and our admin procedures.
- Ensure our recruitment database is accurate and up-to-date so data can be extracted and analysed and used to inform future decisions.
- Often working autonomously, to plan and prioritise own workload in response to requests from ARU Temps Manager and clients to meet targets.
- Ensure compliance with systems, policies and processes and audit requirements and to contribute to the continuous improvement of processes.
Requirements:
- Experience of working in recruitment
- Experience of using a recruitment or similar CRM database
- Experience of working in a target driven environment with tight deadlines
- Experience of working in higher education would be beneficial
- Exceptional customer service skills
- A good knowledge of relevant employment legislation such as AWR and UKVI compliance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative, plan and progress work activities with minimal supervision.
