Date: ASAP Start Date - 4 months minimum 
 
Time: 08:30 - 17:00 (full time)
 
Location: ARU Chelmsford, International Office 
 
Pay: £13.50p/h
 
About the Role: Working as part of our International Marketing & Comms team based within our busy International Office at our Chelmsford campus, the delivery of our enquiries service is a key part of our student conversion activities. Working as part of a team in a friendly and supportive environment, you’ll be responsible for handling enquiries from international enquirers, applicants and offer holders. You will provide excellent support and advice to prospective students through email, social channels and third-party platforms. To do this you will work closely with our recruitment and admissions team, and support admin processes, events, and marketing activities. Ideally you will have experience of working in higher.
 
Responsibilities
  1. Provide information and advice in an efficient and effective manner to enquiries from enquirers and applicants across a range of mediums including face-to-face, by telephone, online chat, email, or social media.
  2. Provide administrative support for the International Admissions process.
  3. Manage the International Admissions inbox, dealing with enquiries and documents from applicants, offer holders, agents, and other stakeholders.
  4. Ensure all applicant and offer holder enquiries are processed in a timely and efficient manner, whilst providing the highest standard of customer service.
  5. Assist in the processing of application-related enquiries and other forms of correspondence generated from a variety of sources such as our online application system, recruitment agents and colleagues, partner institutions and UCAS.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using our standard IT systems, including ASTRA (SITS) and other digital platforms.
  7. Be actively engaged in supporting applicants online on our social media and digital platforms.
  8. Provide reports as required.
  9. Undertake mandatory training and maintain and develop professional skills and competencies in accordance with the requirements of the role.
  10. Actively participate in the delivery of processes/procedures/responsibilities and contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes to support the effective administration of enquirers, applicants and students.
  11. Work with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure an efficient service is delivered to all applicants. This will include ensuring that all stakeholders receive general and specific guidance on the application process and regular updates on the status of applications as they move through the system.
  12. Provide applicants with guidance on courses and facilities, country-specific admissions requirements, course-specific entry criteria, tuition fees, scholarships, as well as detailed information on the admissions process.
  13. Comply with Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR requirements in all working practices maintaining confidentiality, integrity, availability, accuracy, currency and security of information as appropriate. Take personal responsibility for all personal data within own working environment.
  14. Such other duties temporarily or on a continuing basis, as may reasonably be required, commensurate with your grade.
Requirements
 
Essential:
  • Experience of working in a customer service environment
  • Experience of using a range of digital platforms
  • Awareness of current issues affecting international students
  • Administrative experience
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office applications and databases for work

Qualifications

Essential: 
  • Vocational Qualification at NVQ level 2 or equivalent 
Desirable: 
  • First Degree
