Job Title: Live Brief Student Intern
 
Start Date: 12th May 2025
 
End Date: 1st August 2025
 
Hours: Hours are varied, from approximately 1 hour per week up to 7 hours per week during busy periods on a flexible basis. There will be around 27.5 hours of work to be negotiated for the project.
 
Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour
 
Location: Any campus - Cambridge / Chelmsford / Peterborough / Writtle
 

What is a Live Brief Student Intern?

A Live Brief Student Intern is a role in the Employability Service created to incorporate the student voice into the next phase of the Live Briefs Programme. Here is more information about Live Briefs.

Duties include:

  • To work effectively as a team member as part of the friendly Curriculum Integration and Development Team.
  • Review student feedback about Live Briefs in the Module Evaluation Survey. These survey responses provide the student’s perspective and recommendations.
  • Collate the responses from the surveys into distinct themes identified from the data.Creating a narrative that reflects both positive and areas of challenge for the development of the Live Brief Programme,
  • Be part of the panel for the Live Brief of the Year Award.
  • To reflect on the data and information supplied on the Live Brief programme and to provide a student perspective on how employability activities can be further integrated into degree courses. We are interested in your ideas.
  • To attend Teams meetings and to share your work and ideas with the team.
  • Confident to participate in any CID Team communications across internal and external channels.

Skills and experience:

  • Have experience of Live Briefs as an undergraduate.
  • Have an understanding and interest in the importance of ‘employability’ and what ‘employability skills’ are as part of the academic experience at ARU.
  • Be a confident communicator with great listening skills.
  • Be confident in self-managing your work tasks and unafraid to ask questions,
  • Experience or willingness to learn how to use Excel Spreadsheets.
  • Be a confident user of different digital platforms.
  • Professional, organised, and reliable.

Training and development: If you are successfully selected to be a Live Brief Student Intern, you will receive support and training on how to complete your role.
