Duties:
1. Focus Groups
1.1 Plan and organise staff focus groups to gather qualitative insights, setting up meetings and sending invitations
1.2 Work with team to finalise pre defined discussion guides for focus groups.
1. 3 Facilitate focus groups, leading conversations using discussion guide to explore staff opinions, probing and asking follow up questions as appropriate.
2. Data Analysis
2.1 Access, collate and cleanse survey data, identifying gaps or shortfalls that may impact on data quality and working with colleagues to resolve any discrepancies.
2.2 Collate and code qualitative data from survey or focus groups.
2.3 Utilize a range of methods, including statistical analysis and data visualisation to analyse combined survey and focus group data, drawing on substantial technical knowledge and experience to identify key insights, trends and patterns.
2.4 Analyse response data against a range of characteristics to better understand the impact of various factors on responses.
2.5 Interpret analysis, identifying insights to inform strategy and decision making.
2.6 Present findings, including reports, visualisations and recommendations as appropriate, communicating clearly and accessibly across a range of mediums.
2.7 Maintain clear, meticulous and auditable records of all activity.
3. Literature Review
3.1 Identify, source and analyse relevant literature to support research objectives.
3.2 Summarise key findings, evaluating quality and relevance of sources.
3.3 Synthesise insights into reports.

Data Analysis
- Knowledge and experience of qualitative and quantitative statistical analysis, data analysis, interpretation, visualisation and presentation
- Extensive knowledge of excel.
- Strong analytical mindset.
Excellent communication and data presentation skills to convey complex data insights to diverse audiences.
Literature Review
- Literature search proficiency
- Critical thinking and ability to appraise credibility, relevance and quality of sources
- Able to identify themes, patterns and contradictions across sources
- Communication – able to condense large volumes of information into clear, concise and professional summaries.
General
- Understand and work with considerations of ethics, including confidentiality, consent and data protection.
- Experience with mixed-methods research desirable.
- Familiarity with persona development or user experience (UX) research desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Clear, meticulous and auditable record keeping.
- Proactive and able to work independently, and also able to work collaboratively to explore and refine insights and areas requiring further investigation.
