Job Title: IT Support Agent - Writtle
Proposed Start Date: 18th August
Proposed End Date: 18th November 2025
Location: ARU Writtle Campus - Main building
Hours: 37 hours per week working flexibly 7 hours a day between the hours of 7am & 8pm. Given fair notice, some additional evening and weekend work may be required.
Rate of Pay: £13 per hour
*This role is open to all including current students who could split the role*
Responsibilities:
- Provide first contact face-to-face information-technology and audio-visual support to customers of our learning spaces.
- Work alongside the Digital Workplace Technician at Writtle to deliver seamless IT services across offices, teaching rooms, open-access areas, and other operational spaces.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware or software issues using diagnostic tools, escalating to senior colleagues when necessary.
- Install and maintain hardware for end-users and learning spaces by following the established guidelines and procedures.
- Assist in monitoring and updating IT systems to ensure optimal performance and security compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and equipment inventories.
Requirements:
Capable of working under pressure
Have good customer services skills and a strong desire to deliver a high quality of service.
They must be confident end users of IT equipment
Be happy to provide support before a group.DBS in place or willing to act quickly and supply documents to obtain one
Must be able to get to the Writtle campus
Training will be provided for the role.
