We are currently recruiting for the following roles:

Impact:24 Team Leader
24-hour ‘challenge events’ which involve multidisciplinary student teams from all levels coming together to identify potential solutions to partners' societal challenges.
Dates:
Training: starts on 9th March
Event: Wednesday 11th March - Thursday 12th March
Hours: 20 hours
Pay Rate: £13.60 per hour
Student Consult Team Member
One-month semi-professional consultancy projects delivered by teams of students trained and supported by professional staff at ARU.
Dates & Hours:
Training (1 week): 2nd February - 8th February - max 8hrs
Project Work (4 weeks): 9th February - 6th March - total of 40 hours over 4 weeks - 10hrs per week
Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour
Student Consult Team Leader
One-month semi-professional consultancy projects delivered by teams of students trained and supported by professional staff at ARU.
Dates & Hours:
Training (2 weeks): 26th January - 6th February - max 15hrs over 2 weeks
Project Work (4 weeks): 9th February - 6th March - total of 60 hours over 4 week -15hrs per week
Pay Rate: £13.60 per hour
· Current ARU student
· Ideally engaged with the SHoKE Community and attended SHoKE masterclasses (held on the SHoKE Community)
· Previously worked as a volunteer or an intern in a SHoKE Project (Impact:24 or Student Consult)
· The willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively
· Motivated to work whilst located remotely and manage workloads (e.g. academic and extracurricular)
· The confidence to work with external partners
· The confidence to work independently with initiative
· Awareness of general regulations for data protection e.g. GDPR training on LinkedIn learning
SHoKE projects are all online. All students need to have a consistent internet connection and access to a laptop/computer for participating in and delivering in online meetings, which can be provided by the university on campus.
Priority is given to students who are engaged with the SHoKE Community and have volunteered in projects.

- If you are interested in any of the SHoKE roles the only way to apply is by completing the online form, this form is only for current students who have an ARU email address. ARU SHoKE Student Project Application Form, Tr2 2025
- Please apply ASAP as SHoKE will stop accepting applications once a sufficient number of qualified candidates have been received. SHoKE will update the form when they are no longer taking applications for the roles above.
