Contract Type: Temporary (05 January 2026 – 01 June 2026)
Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £16.63 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Programme Support Officer to provide comprehensive administrative support to the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme (CEP) and associated initiatives. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth programme operations and delivering exceptional service to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme and related projects, facilitating programme operations and strategy.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service, liaising with Clinical Entrepreneurs, applicants, mentors, and stakeholders via email, phone, and in person.
  • Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and arrange hospitality, car parking, and room bookings for visitors and external stakeholders.
  • Service board meetings and team meetings, including preparing agendas, distributing documents, and taking accurate minutes.
  • Coordinate one-to-one sessions, group sessions, and webinars with mentors, the CEP team, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases, including the NHS CEP database and mentoring platforms.
  • Draft, edit, and produce correspondence, reports, and other documents.
  • Arrange travel and accommodation for team members, speakers, and entrepreneurs as required.
  • Support programme finance processes, including invoice handling, travel claims, and expense tracking.
  • Assist with the annual recruitment cycle, including managing applications and providing administrative support through the online recruitment portal.

Requirements

  • Strong administrative experience in a busy office environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with databases.
  • Previous experience in event coordination and financial administration is desirable.
