SHoKE Tri 3 Impact 24 Team Leader

Joining a SHoKE project team will provide you with the opportunity to:

• Make a real personal difference to society - share your voice on some big challenges

• Develop your communication, leadership and teamwork skills by collaborating with external organisations

Location: Remote working - projects are all online

Schedule: You need to be able to participate in all training activities (unless you have academic classes) please check the schedule (arul.ink/impact24) before applying and make sure you inform the SHoKE team when you are unavailable. 
 
We are currently recruiting for the following role:
 
Impact:24 Team Leader
24-hour ‘challenge events’ which involve multidisciplinary student teams from all levels coming together to identify potential solutions to partners' societal challenges.
 
Training: starts on 11th May
Event: Wednesday 13th May - Thursday 14th May
Hours: 20 hours
Pay Rate: £14.45 per hour
 

Person Specification:

· Current ARU student 

· Ideally engaged with the SHoKE Community and attended SHoKE masterclasses (held on the SHoKE Community)

· Previously worked as a volunteer or an intern in a SHoKE Project (Impact:24 or Student Consult)

· The willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively

· Motivated to work whilst located remotely and manage workloads (e.g. academic and extracurricular)

· The confidence to work with external partners

· The confidence to work independently with initiative

· Awareness of general regulations for data protection e.g. GDPR training on LinkedIn learning

SHoKE projects are all online. All students need to have a consistent internet connection and access to a laptop/computer for participating in and delivering in online meetings, which can be provided by the university on campus.

Priority is given to students who are engaged with the SHoKE Community and have volunteered in projects.

  2. Please apply ASAP as SHoKE will stop accepting applications once a sufficient number of qualified candidates have been received. SHoKE will update the form when they are no longer taking applications for the roles above.
  3. Wait for a response to be invited to interview. Only successful candidates will be contacted and invited to interview.
