Internship title: People Team Intern
Company: Anglian Water
Anglian Water is the largest water and water recycling company in England and Wales by geographic area. They supply water and water recycling services to around 7 million people. Covering 14 counties across the East of England and Hartlepool.
They employ around 6,000 people – and work alongside 4,000 alliance partners and contractors. Operating and maintaining 38,996km of water mains. Along with a staggering 76,355km of sewers: laid end-to-end, that’s almost twice around the world!
The region they serve in the East of England spans from Grimsby in the north to Southend-on-Sea in the south; and from Northampton and Milton Keynes in the west to Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth in the east. It’s home to three of the fastest-growing cities in the UK – Cambridge, Milton Keynes and Peterborough. They also serve Hartlepool on the North Sea coast.
The region faces particular challenges in relation to climate change, nature and the environment. It's why Anglian Water's Purpose – to bring environmental and social prosperity to the region they serve through their commitment to Love Every Drop – is so important.
