Working closely with the Ethics, Governance and Integrity Manager, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our ethics systems, guidance and resources, ensuring that researchers and students receive high-quality support throughout the research ethics approval process.
What you'll be doing
In this varied role, you will:
- Lead on the redesign and development of the University's central research ethics website.
- Assist with the review, development and enhancement of ethics guidance and support materials.
- Produce high-quality written content and guidance documents for staff and students.
- Organise meetings, coordinate schedules and book rooms.
- Take accurate and professional minutes and maintain clear records.
- Proofread reports, guidance documents and other publications.
- Support the preparation of annual reporting by checking and validating data.
- Respond to enquiries from students and staff, providing professional and timely support.
- Undertake other duties that contribute to the effective delivery of the Ethics, Governance and Integrity function.
We're looking for someone who can work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver work to a consistently high standard.
You will have:
- Experience redesigning or managing website content.
- A strong understanding of research ethics processes, ideally within a higher education environment.
- Experience taking minutes and supporting formal committees or meetings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
- Confidence dealing with a wide range of stakeholders and responding to enquiries professionally.
Why join us?
This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the University's research culture by supporting ethical, responsible and high-quality research. You'll work with experienced colleagues in a collaborative environment while developing expertise in an important and growing area of higher education.
If you are a detail-oriented professional who enjoys improving processes, producing high-quality documentation and supporting excellent research practice, we'd love to hear from you.
