Social Work Taster Day Ambassadors – Cambridge Campus

We are looking for 2 Social Work students to work as Ambassadors at our upcoming Social Work Taster Day at the Cambridge Campus!

Date: Wednesday 18th November 2026
Working hours: 09:45 - 12:00
Pay rate: £13.45 per hour
Location: ONLINE - Open to all Social Work students across Cambridge, Chelmsford and Peterborough

The Role

You will support a practical Social Work Taster Session delivered by an academic, helping prospective students engage with the session and learn more about studying Social Work at ARU.

Your duties will include:

• Supporting the academic with setting up the practical session.

• Engaging with prospective students and assisting them throughout the session.

• Sharing your experiences of studying Social Work at ARU and answering questions about student life and the course.

• Participating in an Ambassador Q&A session with visitors.

• Helping to create a welcoming, informative and engaging experience for prospective students.

You will be required to wear your ARU Lanyard

Who Can Apply?

This opportunity is exclusively open to current ARU Social Work students.

Due to the specialist nature of the practical session and the subject-specific knowledge required, applicants must be currently studying Social Work. Students studying other courses will not be considered for this role.

We are looking for students who are enthusiastic, approachable and confident in sharing their experiences to help inspire prospective students considering a career in Social Work.
