E-Commerce Product Upload Specialist

Pay rate: £12.60 per hour
Location: Brentwood, Essex based office
Hours: Part time up to 20hrs per week (schedule to be agreed)
Term: 3 months
Start date: February 2025

The role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy E-Commerce Product Upload Specialist to support the accurate upload of products onto their Shopify website, considering SEO whilst ensuring the online store reflects the premium brand identity. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a luxury outdoor living brand, contributing to a key project with immediate impact. Duties include:
  • Accurately uploading product information, including descriptions, specifications, pricing, and images, onto the Shopify platform
  • Writing clear and compelling product descriptions that align with the brand tone and are optimised for SEO.
  • Ensuring all product images and videos are uploaded in the correct format, quality, and size, maintaining consistency across the site.
  • Cross-checking product details to ensure accuracy, including dimensions, pricing, and inventory levels.
  • Assigning products to the appropriate categories and collections for easy navigation.
  • Updating existing product listings as required, ensuring they remain accurate and current.
  • Conducting regular checks of the website to ensure products are displaying correctly.
  • Collaborating with the design, marketing, and operations teams to achieve tasks.
Person spec
ESSENTIAL
  • Prior experience uploading products on Shopify.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all product listings.
  • Proficient in Shopify, Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, and image editing software (basic knowledge).
  • Time management and strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • SEO knowledge - basic understanding of search engine optimisation principles for e-commerce.
  • Ability to embody and uphold the luxury tone and aesthetic of the brand across all product listings.
  • Able to travel and work in the Brentwood, Essex based office.
DESIRABLE
  • Experience in the luxury or home/lifestyle industry.
  • Knowledge of HTML or Shopify Liquid (advantageous but not required).
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems or CRM platforms.
