Essex Drama Academy are looking for group leaders to run a drama club!
What does it involve?
- Following the provided lesson plan for the session (lesson plans and resources are provided- the whole session is planned for.)
- The clubs last for 1 hour on the school’s premises.
- The age range is 7-11 years old.
- The clubs run during the school term and run for approximately 10-12 weeks per term.
- We have the following vacancies available (you can pick one or all 3 clubs):
Tuesdays. Chelmsford. 3:15-4:15PM
Wednesdays. Basildon. 3:15-4:15PM
Thursdays. Chelmsford. 3:10-4:10PM
Rate of Pay: £20 per session
Start Date: ASAP or after the Easter holidays.
What we’re looking for:
- Reliable, trustworthy individuals.
- An enthusiasm for working with children and developing their drama skills.
- This is an ongoing role and we ask for a commitment to the term as a minimum.
- A performing arts background e.g. drama/dance/singing (e.g. this could be A Levels, BTEC, LAMDA qualifications, other recognised performing arts qualifications, a degree.)
- You don’t have to be a qualified teacher but do need experience of working with children.
- A current, enhanced, DBS (one can be arranged.)
- A first aid qualification (training can be provided.)
- To start after the Easter holidays.
A little bit about us:
Essex Drama Academy is run by TV and stage actress Jennifer Nicholas. Our aim is for children to learn new skills in a fun, safe environment that will lead to them being confident, happy, expressive individuals. The children will take part in a range of drama games and activities that will allow them to explore various performance skills, for example, vocal techniques, movement, team building and developing characters and story.
