Job Description

Title: Graduation Ceremony Assistant 
Date(S): 14th July - 21st July (not including weekends) 
Pay Rate: £12.60 p/h
Location: Guy Harling's Building, Chelmsford, New Street (Next to Chelmsford Cathedral)
 
Graduations are here and we are seeking students to support the Academic Registry team! 
 
Role: As a graduation assistant you will be working with the academic registry team supporting with the below duties. 
  • To assist Academic Registry staff on the check-in desk for students for their graduation ceremony and to deal
  • with associated queries.
  • To assist Academic Registry staff in showing students to their seats for their graduation ceremony and to deal
  • With associated queries.
  • To assist students in lining up prior to crossing the stage and dismissing them at the close of ceremony.
Requirements: 
  • Happy to communicate with guests of the ceremony
  • Pro active individual 
  • Good knowledge of the area/ campus
  • Comfortable with large crowds and a busy environment
Shifts: 
 
Monday 14th July 
  • Shifts 1: 11:30 - 14:30; 14:00 – 17:00; 16:30 - 19:30
  • Shifts 2:  12:30 – 14:30; 15:00 – 17:00; 17:30 - 19:30
Tuesday 15th July - Thursday 17th July
  • Shifts 1: 9:00 – 12:00; 11:30 - 14:30; 14:00 – 17:00; 16:30 - 19:30
  • Shifts 2:  10:00 – 12:00: 12:30 – 14:30; 15:00 – 17:00; 17:30 - 19:30
Friday 18th July 
  • Shifts 1: 9:00 – 12:00; 11:30 - 14:30
  • Shifts 2:  10:00 – 12:00: 12:30 – 14:30
Monday 21st July
  • Shifts 1: 9:00 – 12:00; 13:00 – 16:00; 16:00 – 19:00
  • Shifts 2:  10:00 – 12:00: 14:00 – 16:00; 17:00 – 19:00
