Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: £13.84 per hour (Grade 3)
Eligibility: Open to graduates and non-students only
DBS Clearance: Required for work at Writtle campus

Are you an organised and proactive individual with a passion for delivering excellent administrative support? We’re looking for a Temporary Administrative Assistant to join our Student Administration team across our Chelmsford and Writtle campuses.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in the Higher Education sector, working in a dynamic environment where your contribution will directly support students, staff, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain accurate and secure record keeping in either electronic or paper format.
2. Produce documentation to required standards and within agreed deadlines.
3. Have an understanding of, and be able to input, retrieve and interpret information from our student database
system, following appropriate and continued training.
4. Collect and collate assessments and forward to external examiners.
5. Have a broad understanding of our procedures, rules and regulations.

6. Organise and service School meetings.
7. Deal effectively with students, colleagues and external enquiries and ensuring they are dealt with
satisfactorily or referred to a more appropriate colleague.
8. Provide effective liaison with colleagues, professional bodies, employers, external examiners and regional
partners.
9. Support Clearing and Graduation activities as required.
10. Comply with Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR requirements in all working practices maintaining
confidentiality, integrity, availability, accuracy, currency, and security of information as appropriate. Take
personal responsibility for all personal data within own working environment.
11. Such other duties temporarily or on a continuing basis, as may reasonably be required, commensurate with
your grade.
What We Are Looking For :
• Proven administrative experience in an administrative role
• Demonstrable experience of, and desire to enhance the high standards of customer care within the faculty
• Experience of working in Student administration
• HE Sector experience
• Experience of servicing School meetings
