Job Description

Job Title: Digital Employability Support Focus Group
 
Location: Cambridge & Chelmsford campus (in person sessions)
 
Date: to be agreed - will be between 24th November - 5th December
 
Hours: to be agreed - will be a 90 minute session
 
Rate of Pay: £12.60 per hour
 
x16 students required.
 
This role is open to ARU students or recent Graduates only.
 
Duties: We are seeking current ARU students to take part in a focus group designed to provide feedback on our digital employability support offering. You’ll be asked to complete a simple navigation activity using your own laptop or phone and share your honest feedback in a relaxed group discussion. Your insights will help us make these tools more intuitive and effective for students.
 
Responsibilities:
• Participate in a 90-minute session involving a navigation task using your own laptop or phone.
• Share honest feedback on your experience during a group discussion.
• Complete a short worksheet to record your steps and observations.
 
Requirements:
• Current ARU student, or graduated within the last academic year, of any course or level. (Cambridge, Chelmsford, Peterborough or Writtle)
• Bring the device you typically use for university tasks.
• Comfortable sharing opinions in a group setting.
• We welcome applications from anyone who meets the above requirements, however having engaged with the Employability Service before at ARU is not mandatory – we are looking for students with a range of different experience with accessing our support.
• Please note, we will not accept applications from Employability Activators.

Time slots:
AM - between 9.30-11.30
PM - between 14:00-16:00
