Title: Cambridge Sport Activator 

Start Date: Monday 7th September 2026

Time: 0-8 hours per week - The role will vary week by week based on the time of year and what events / projects are taking place 

Location: ARU Cambridge

Pay: £13.45 p/h

The role: The role of a Sport Activator is to organise and deliver engaging and fun sports sessions as part of Team ARU’s sport participation programme. You will become part of a team of Sport Activators and gain work experience working in a sporting environment. Our Sport Activators do not need to be part of a sports club, nor do they need to be particularly talented at sport. We just want students who love sport and want to help others get involved.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

• To deliver weekly sport sessions and ensure the sessions are organised, interactive and fun for participants.
• To be an Ambassador for Team ARU by promoting the range of sport and physical activity opportunities available to students and staff through social media and other promotional tools.
• To monitor and report on session numbers. We need students who can provide regular updates and feedback to the Sport Participation Manager so improvements can be made to enhance the student experience.
• To have a commitment and willingness to attend training opportunities and Sport Activator team meetings/ training when required.
• Provide feedback to the Team ARU Sport Participation Manager if you have any concerns or suggestions relating to the campus sport sessions.
