Job Description

Internship TitleDiversity & Cultural Change Web Content Review
Start Date: March / April 2026
Duration: 6 weeks
Location: Cambridge or remote 
Hours: 20 hours per week (the schedule will be discussed with your manager)
Rate of pay: £13.45 per hour  

Brief Job Description/responsibilities

This internship will support the Diversity & Cultural Change team by reviewing internal (staff and student) and external webpages that provide guidance, advice, or information related to the Access and Participation Plan (APP) work.

With guidance from the team, the intern will identify content that may be out of date, unclear, or inconsistent and make suggestions for improvement, including how effectively webpages reference and support ARU’s APP.

The intern may also have the opportunity to develop and present ideas for improved layout or content structure, building skills in analysis, communication, and professional judgement as part of a small, self-contained review project.

  • Clear written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to organise information
  • Confidence using websites and digital content
  • Interest in equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Must be a current ARU student

     

    Outcomes

    1. Learning outcomes 

    At the end of the internship the student will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience working on a defined project within a professional team
  • Skills in reviewing, evaluating and summarising written content
  • An understanding of how organisations tailor communications for different audiences
  • Increased confidence in presenting ideas and recommendations in a professional format

 

2. Project deliverables

  • A review of selected webpages identifying out-of-date or unclear content
  • A set of recommendations for content updates and potential improvements to layout or structure
