Join us to shape the student journey and have your voice heard

We’re looking for enthusiastic first‑year students who want to make a real difference to the Ruskin Module experience at ARU.

As a Student Experience Ambassador, your voice will help shape how we support students across the university. You’ll share your honest experiences as you prepare for, take, and reflect on your Ruskin Module, helping us to understand how it feels from a student perspective.

We welcome applications from all first year (level 4) students whose course includes a Ruskin Module. Different perspectives are not only encouraged, they’re essential. If you’re reflective, reliable, and happy to share your experiences in a supportive setting, we’d love to hear from you.

If you’re reliable, reflective, and ready to provide honest feedback in a supportive setting, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll do

As a Ruskin Modules Student Experience Ambassador, you will:

  • Join us for a welcome meeting on Friday 13 March, 11:00-12:00 on MS Teams.
  • Submit short weekly reflections each teaching week throughout 2026 (February–December), sharing how things are going as your Ruskin Module journey unfolds.
  • Join a monthly online meeting where you’ll talk about your experiences in more depth.
  • Play a meaningful role in helping us understand what students need, from preparing for their module, to studying it, to navigating assessment and beyond.

Although the monthly time commitment is small, this is a year long opportunity where your consistency and insight will make a real impact. Please only apply if you’re happy to commit across the year.

 Why you should apply
  • You’ll gain experience in communication, insight gathering and reflective practice, great for your CV.
  • You’ll help improve the Ruskin Module experience for future students.
  • You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team that genuinely values your perspective.
  • And most importantly… your voice will help shape change.
