Job Title: Animation/Video Creator (Cambridge)

Pay rate: £16.19 per hour
Hours: 7.5 hours per week
Project Aim: This position supports a CyBOK-funded project developing teaching materials for the forthcoming Security-Informed Safety Topic Guide. The role focuses on creating clear visual explanations of cyber-physical safety scenarios, including animation creation, for at least 5 cyber-attack scenarios.
This role does not need cybersecurity expertise.
Duties
• Develop animations and visualisations illustrating safety functions, hazard escalation, and cyber-to-physical impacts.
• Create storyboards, diagrams, motion graphics, and edited video content.
• Support narration and final production of teaching materials.
• Work closely with the project team to ensure technical accuracy. The project lead and other research assistant will prepare the attack scenarios, so this role does not need cybersecurity knowledge (it is desirable but not a requirement)
Essential requirements:
• Experience in animation, digital media, or motion graphics.
• Proficiency with relevant tools (e.g., Blender, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Suite, and/or similar).
• Ability to translate technical/system concepts into clear visuals.
Desirable
• Experience producing technical or educational explainer content.
• Familiarity with engineering and/or cybersecurity concepts.
