Sales & Business Development Assistant
Pay rate: £13.45-£15.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
Location: Harlow, Essex with some remote working
Hours: Part-time (2–3 days per week)
Contract: Temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate

Our client is a creative branding and merchandise business that helps organisations bring their brands to life through high quality promotional products, merchandise and creative solutions. They work with a wide range of clients and are growing their business to provide curated branded merchandise and creative inspiration for businesses.
They are now looking for a Sales & Business Development Assistant to support their growth and help build awareness through both direct sales activity and social media presence.
The role
This role offers plenty of exposure to real business activity. The successful candidate will support sales and business development activity while also taking responsibility for managing and growing social media presence. You’ll work closely with the wider team and gain experience across sales outreach, client engagement, CRM administration, and social media content management. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Sales & Business Development
- Supporting business development activity by researching and identifying potential new clients
- Assisting with outbound sales activity (emails, LinkedIn, introductory calls)
- Maintaining and updating CRM and sales records
- Supporting the preparation of proposals, quotes and follow up communications
- Helping to manage and nurture existing client relationships
- Conducting basic market and competitor research
- Providing general administrative support to the sales function
Social Media & Marketing
- Managing and scheduling social media content (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and X)
- Helping to create engaging posts showcasing products, projects and brand stories
- Supporting basic content planning and campaign ideas
- Monitoring engagement and providing simple performance insights
- Assisting with website content updates as required
- Assisting with CRM updates and data entry as required.
Person spec
We’re not expecting extensive experience – this role is about potential, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
ESSENTIAL
- Current student or recent graduate (business, marketing, communications or related subject preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident using social media platforms for professional/business
- Organised, reliable and able to manage time effectively alongside studies
- A proactive, self motivated approach with attention to detail
- Comfortable using digital tools (email, spreadsheets, basic CRM systems)
- Familiarity with Adobe or similar design tools
- Able to commute to office location in Harlow, Essex
DESIRABLE
- Interest in sales, business development or marketing
- Experience managing social media accounts (personal or professional)
- Interest in branding, merchandise or creative industries
- Interest in CAD and manufacturing.
