About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join the Estates and Facilities Service at our Chelmsford campus. This temporary opportunity will provide valuable support to the Estates & Facilities Finance Team during a busy period, including assistance with year-end financial processes.
The successful candidate will deliver administrative and customer service support, helping to ensure the smooth running of financial operations while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ideally we are looking for someone who has previously worked for ARU and has experience of using the business world system or experience of processing purchase orders in an education setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and customer service support to the Estates & Facilities Finance Team.
- Manage and respond to enquiries received through the department inboxes.
- Assist with financial year-end activities and processes.
- Process purchase orders and match invoices for payment.
- Maintain accurate financial and administrative records.
- Support the team in delivering an efficient and professional service to internal and external stakeholders.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience using ARU system business world or similar education finance systems
- Essential experience of working with purchase orders and invoice matching processes.
- Previous experience in an administrative or finance support role.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and other business systems.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
