About the Role
We're looking for a team of creative and enthusiastic Digital Student Ambassadors (DSAs) to help bring the ARU student experience to life through authentic, student-led content.
As a DSA, you'll share your real experiences of studying at ARU, creating engaging content that helps prospective students understand what it's really like to be part of our community.
From filming day-in-the-life videos and capturing campus moments to answering questions from future students, you'll play a key role in shaping our digital presence and inspiring the next generation of ARU students.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Digital Student Ambassador, you will:
Content Creation-Produce a minimum of one piece of content per week (dependant on length and size of project)
Create engaging content that showcases student life, academic experiences, placements, campus facilities and extracurricular activities.
Develop content in a range of formats, including but not limited to: Short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and RedNote
Photography and visual content for social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, WeChat, YouTube and RedNote
Blogs and written content for the ARU website, Unibuddy, WeChat and RedNote
Student Engagement: Respond to prospective student questions on peer-to-peer platforms, including:
Unibuddy/The Student Room/Other student engagement platforms as required-Share honest and helpful insights based on your own student experience Events and Campaigns
Attend occasional online and on-campus events, including but not limited to; Webinars for prospective students, Campus events and activities
Capture content at events to support marketing and recruitment campaigns.
Additional Activities
Participate in other ambassador activities and projects as required
Contribute creative ideas and feedback to help shape future content and campaigns.-Work collaboratively with fellow ambassadors and the Marketing team

- Proactive, organised and able to manage their time effectively
- Strong communicators with excellent written and verbal skills
- Confident representing ARU to prospective students
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Highly motivated, reliable and conscientious
- Able to meet deadlines and follow brand guidelines
- Passionate about sharing their student experience

- Consistently producing engaging content
- Proactive in spotting opportunities to capture student life
- Responsive and helpful when communicating with prospective students
- Reliable, professional and positive representatives of ARU
- Willing to experiment with new content formats and creative ideas
How To Apply:
Content Creation Task
1. Create or submit a short-form video (maximum 30 seconds)
Please submit a video that you believe would perform well on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, RedNote or a similar platform.
This can be:
- A new video created specifically for this application, or
- An existing video you have produced that demonstrates your content creation skills.
The video should showcase authentic student life and be relevant to prospective university students.
Alongside your video, please provide a short written explanation (150-200 words) covering:
- Why you chose this content idea
- Who the target audience is
- Why you think it would be engaging and perform well on social media
- Which platform(s) it is best suited for and why
Student Engagement Task
2. Respond to the following prospective student enquiry
One aspect of the Digital Student Ambassador role involves answering questions from prospective students on platforms such as Unibuddy and The Student Room.
Please write a response (maximum 300 words) to the following message:
"Hi there, I have an offer to join ARU in September, but I also have offers from other universities. What makes ARU the place to study, in your experience?"
When writing your response, focus on:
- Authenticity and personal experience
- Clear and friendly communication
- Providing helpful information without sounding scripted or overly promotional
- Encouraging further conversation
