Job Purpose: To assist with a range of administrative activities relating to postgraduate research (PGR) at ARU.

Job Title: Doctoral School Administrative Assistant
Job Purpose: Are you passionate about supporting postgraduate research? Join our team at ARU as a Doctoral School Administrative Assistant, where you'll assist with a variety of administrative activities related to postgraduate research (PGR).
Principal Accountabilities:
- Monitor shared Doctoral School inboxes, responding to or escalating queries as appropriate.
- Assist the PGR Admissions Officer in processing PGR admissions applications and responding to applicant enquiries.
- Support the Senior Research Degrees Administrators in preparing for the Postgraduate Research Candidate Progress Sub Committee (PGRCPSC) and processing outcomes electronically.
- Perform straightforward data entry tasks in the ASTRA student record system.
- Assist in processing Committee outcomes on the PGR Pro progression monitoring system, as required.
- Provide assistance to the Doctoral School Team as needed.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data protection standards.

- Previous experience in an administrative role within an educational setting.
- Familiarity with postgraduate research processes and systems.
- Experience using student record systems like ASTRA.
