Job Description

SHoKE Student Consult Team Leader (Postgrad Internship) -TR3

Pay rate: £13.60

Location: remote working, flexible with some fixed key meetings and training sessions 

Dates & Hours Options:
June
Training: 19/05 - 30/05 (max 15 hours for 2 weeks)
Project Work: 02/06 - 20/06 (max 30 hours)
Post Project Work: 23/06 - 29/06 (2 hours)
and/or
July
Training: 19/05 - 30/05 (max 10 hours for 2 weeks)
Pre project Work: 23/06 (5 hours)
Project Work: 30/06 - 20/07 (max 30 hours)
Post Project Work: 21/07 - 27/07 (2 hours)
 
This role is only open to ARU students and recent graduates
 
Job Role: Lead a multidisciplinary student team to help solve a social issue. You will receive training and develop your leadership and consultancy skills. You will lead student teams to problem solve and develop the ideas further for implementation. You will be collaborating with representatives from partner organisations (charities, councils, or social enterprises) and lead student teams of up to 8 students. 

SHoKE is an online project. All students need to have consistent internet connection and access to a laptop/computer for participating and delivering in online meetings, this can be provided by the university on campus. 

  

Experience of working in a Student Consult team for a project is required.

Person Spec: 

Previously worked as a volunteer/intern in a SHoKE Project
The ability to lead a team and communicate effectively
The confidence to work independently with initiative
The confidence to work with external partners
Motivated to work whilst located remotely and manage workloads
