ARU Writtle Campus Receptionist
Location: Writtle campus
Hours: Monday to Wednesday 2-3pm, Thursday and Friday 1-2pm PLUS ad-hoc half day cover (8.30am-1.15pm and 1.15-5.30pm)
Rate of pay: £12.72ph
Term: Regular weekly temp work
Start date: May 2025
Training: 1 hour paid training

We want to expand our pool of trained student temp workers who cover the ARU Writtle campus reception desk. Successful candidates will be trained and receive an enhanced DBS check for this work. Shifts are released monthly with opportunity to secure regular work and cover ad-hoc half day absences of perm staff.
Duties:
- Provide a friendly, welcoming, helpful and professional service to all customers. Liaise with members of the public, current students, visitors and prospective students.
- Provide information, advice and guidance to both internal and external customers, both in person, via email and the telephone.
- Ensure that general enquiries are answered effectively, that all customers receive an excellent customer service and accurate responses to adhoc requests.
- Direct incoming calls effectively using Teams.
- To sort and distribute incoming staff and student mail, to include the following; open, sort, date stamp and distribute all post.
- Ensure visitors are provided with the Visitors Guideline information and adhere to guidelines whilst on campus.
- Receive and forward messages and parcels.
- Monitor Health and Safety within the Reception Area, reporting any immediate risks to facilities.
- Maintain a central lost property system, notify person when items are recovered.
- Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably requested.
