Make a Difference as an Admissions Ambassador!

Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity to gain experience while supporting future students? ARU Temps is seeking one enthusiastic Admissions Ambassador to join our admissions team at Writtle campus for the rest of the academic year.

We are looking for someone who is currently in, or has very recently been in, the Writtle FE space at Writtle College. The aim is to give prospective applicants a genuine, first-hand insight into what it is like to study there at that level and to share their lived experiences.

The role will be working flexibly and remotely.
Priority will be given to those candidates who are already ARU DBS checked.

This is your chance to develop valuable skills, earn extra income, and play a key role in helping applicants feel confident and excited about joining ARU.

What You'll Do:
  • Work flexibly: We’ll guarantee at least one 6-hour shift each week, scheduled around your availability so it fits alongside your studies.
  • Engage with applicants: Speak with prospective students by phone and email, answering questions, sharing your experience of ARU, and supporting them through the admissions journey.
  • Nurture and convert applicants: Build relationships with offer holders, encouraging them to choose ARU by providing reassurance, practical advice, and genuine insight into student life.
  • Support admissions processes:
    • Contact offer holders (UG/PG) to gather requested documents.
    • Send reminders about interviews and applicant events.
    • Follow up on DBS/OH checks after links are sent.
    • Assist the Admissions Customer Service line during peak times.
    • Contribute to conversion tasks during the Clearing period.
  • Support campaigns & social media: Take part in videos, social content, and online campaigns to help engage applicants and showcase the ARU student experience.
  • Excellent communication skills: You’ll be a friendly and approachable first point of contact for applicants.
  • Confident phone manner: Able to engage warmly and professionally.
  • Organised and proactive: Comfortable balancing tasks and following up promptly.
  • Team player: Ready to collaborate with fellow Ambassadors and admissions staff.
  • Digital confidence: Comfortable using social media or being involved in content creation to reach prospective students.

Why Join Us?

  • Gain practical work experience alongside your studies.
  • Build your confidence and communication skills.
  • Develop skills in digital engagement and campaigns.
  • Play a meaningful role in shaping the applicant experience.
  • Be part of a supportive, flexible team.
